Visitation Ministry

Inspired by the love and support shared by Mary and Elizabeth in Luke’s Gospel, the St. Xavier Visitation Ministry is a way for parishioners to bear hope and healing to one another through works of mercy. Visitation Ministers provide meals, Holy Communion, and spiritual support to fellow parishioners who are experiencing a life event such as a new baby, illness or injury, loss of a loved one, or are otherwise homebound.

Meal Train

Parishioners experiencing a life event that makes it difficult to leave home can request a Meal Train, through which volunteers prepare and deliver fresh meals to their home.

Home Communion

Parishioners unable to attend Mass can request lay ministers to bring them Holy Communion at home, in the hospital, or in long-term care facilities.

To submit a request for a Meal Train and/or Home Communion, please complete this Visit Request Form or call the Parish Office at 513.721.4045.

To volunteer as a Visitation Minister, please complete this Visitation Minister Application or contact Sr. Whitney Schieltz. You can also refer to the Visitation Ministry Handbook for more information.
