Our Vision
The Jesuit Parish Family: Being transformed in the Body of Christ, to bear hope and healing, in the Ignatian tradition.
Our Mission
St. Xavier Church, the Jesuit Parish in downtown Cincinnati, welcomes and serves people from the tri-state area. Our mission is to proclaim and live the gospel of Jesus Christ. We do this: by our celebration of scripture and sacraments, by fostering adult spiritual development, by service to the poor, and by promotion of justice.
Jesuit Parish Family
The Cincinnati Jesuit Parish Family is the union of two distinct faith communities, Bellarmine Chapel and St. Xavier Church. The parishes are supported and overseen by one pastor, Fr. Paul Lickteig, SJ. This burgeoning collaboration, operating out of a shared Ignatian charism, allows for an organizational structure that supports each place of worship.
Bellarmine Chapel and St. Xavier Church each have a Local Parish Advisory Council that advises the pastors, priests, and staff. The Joint Parish Advisory Council advises on matters that pertain to both parish communities.
